dm_131201_Nate_Diaz_Gray_Maynard_HighlightI actually bet on this fight trying to win a few bucks. I bet on the wrong guy!

Nate Diaz took it to Gray Maynard right from the beginning of the fight until his hand was raised in victory. Even though I lost my bet I was impressed by the show Nate put on that night.

The fight ended with 2:22 left on the clock in the very first round with Diaz scoring an impressive TKO victory.

The winner, who was off by quite a bit because nobody picked Diaz to win the fight in the first round is Steve Timmons. Regardless, Steve who made his pick on my facebook page was close enough to win the contest:

Steve wins the entire MMA QuickStart Training Program which includes over 18 1-hour workouts, 100+ instructional videos, 12 Follow Along MP3 “Shadowfighting” Audio Files and more. Congrats Steve!

vitor-belfort-ko-dan-henderson-ufc-fight-night-32Vitor Belfort wasted no time last night by taking the fight to Dan Henderson immediately after landing a beautiful uppercut on his super tough opponent.

I though Dan showed great toughness and recovery skills by getting back to his feet even though he had been severely rocked by strikes. Vitor Belfort couldn’t have timed that final kick more perfectly though. Ouch!

The fight ended with 3:43 left on the clock in the very first round.

The winner, who was off by only 8 seconds from the actual time the fight ended, made his pick on my face book page:

fnI recently had the chance to appear on the Fight Network alongside Robin Black and John Ramdeen. We broke down the upcoming UFC 165 Card (Toronto) and had a fun time doing it :). Here’s the vid:

Here’s an interview I did with ProMMANow’s John Buhl breaking down the UFC 127 fights between Jon Fitch/BJ Penn and Spencer Fisher/Ross Pearson.

It made USA Today’s top MMA Picks of the day –> Click to view the list

UFC 126 is coming up. That means it’s time to give away some free MMA instructional stuff.

I’m very excited about the title match between Vitor Belfort & Anderson Silva. I really hope Belfort comes out of that fight as the new UFC middleweight champion of the world.  It comes down to the fact that I just don’t enjoy watching Silva fight as much anymore.

Anyway make your picks below (and please keep them in the same list order to make my job of calculating the winner much easier) and if you choose the most correct winners you win!

To make things more fun let’s do something special.

If Silva retains his belt, the pick’em winner will get any one of my MMA instructional workshops ($30 Value) and if Vitor Belfort is victorious then the pick’em winner will receive my complete MMA QuickStart MMA Training Program ($97 value).

Make your picks as comments on this post. Good luck!

Here’s a video with my thoughts on the main card fights:

and here’s the full fight card for you to make your picks from:

Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort
Forrest Griffin vs. Rich Franklin
Ryan Bader vs. Jon Jones
Jake Ellenberger vs. Carlos Eduardo Rocha
Miguel Torres vs. Antonio Banuelos
Donald Cerrone vs. Paul Kelly
Chad Mendes vs. Michihiro Omigawa
Gabe Ruediger vs. Paul Taylor
Demetrious Johnson vs. Norifumi “KID” Yamamoto
Mike Pierce vs. Kenny Robertson
Kyle Kingsbury vs. Ricardo Romero

I”m definitely looking forward to UFC 117 although I think these two headliner fights could play out in one of two different ways: Action packed from start to finish or uneventful and boring depending on how the fighters approach it.

I”m hoping that Chael Sonnen wins the belt that night by finishing Anderson Silva. What I definitely don”t want to see is Silva dancing around the cage for twenty minutes waving his arms in the air and doing his shake and bake stuff pretending to want to attack. Hopefully for the fans, he”ll be out in good form and fight hard for the entire fight.

With the Fitch/Alves, ideally we”ll see some good ground work by Fitch and some slick striking online casino by Alves throughout in a match that ends by either KO or submission. Both guys are tough competitors and will without a doubt be ready to fight hard all three rounds.

I”m picking Sonnen and Fitch to win. Who you going with?

Here”s the promo vid for the card…

UFC 114 Pick’em Contest Winners!

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Thanks to everyone who entered the UFC 114 (Evans vs. Jackson) Pick’em contest.

The results were very close however the top spot was shared by three people all of who picked 9 of 11 winners correctly! Great job guys. I’ve decided to give you each a free video workshop instead of just the first to get their picks in.

If you’re one of the following three winners, I’ll be sending you an email very soon to find out which workshop you would like.
